My favourite things in my house 1: Ganesh in a dish
Ganesh came last weekend as a Mother's Day present. He's near the front door to remove our obstacles both when we go out and when we come in!
My favourite things in my house 7: the towel elephant
Once upon a time graced our front door, now replaced by the door frog. I recently saw "Labyrinth" again and I think it looks like the riddling door knobs.
My favourite things in my house 6:the door frog
Replacement for what was the door elephant on the front door . We discovered that the new flywire screens would get pierced by the elephant's trunk, so moved the elephant to the laundry.
My favourite things in my house 5: the pen owl
Followed us from house to house since we first moved in together behind a newsagents as students in 1988. We found it abandoned by the previous tenants.
My favourite things in my house 4: crazy fibre optic dragon lamp
From a garage sale last month. Plug it in for rainbow shimmers. My question is "who thought it would be a good idea to manuracture one?".
My favourite things in my house 3: the cake plate and the dinner gong
The dinner gong means "food now". The cake plate means" extra yummy food". Need I say more?
My favourite things in my house 2: the wooden rhinoceros
The rhinoceros came from South Africa when my Aunty H returned when I was 8. I salvaged it when cleaning up my parent's house in April this year. Despite some scepticism, it does work well as a doorstop, and rarely injures family members
